Avuá Oak Cachaça following Brazilian tradition, is aged for up to 2 years in French Oak, or carvalho, previously used to age white wine. Carvalho (Portuguese for Oak barrels) is the most common wood used for cachaça aging in Brazil and imparts notes of vanilla, butterscotch yet finishes dry with a slight bitterness that has many layers for an exquisite sipping spirit or the perfect base for stirred cocktails and tropical cocktails like the Mai Tai or Planter's Punch.
A note on batching
As with fine wine, our product is produced in an annual growing season and will exhibit differences from batch to batch due to differences in water retention, cane composition and harvest factors. Each of our batches is clearly numbered on batch and bottle numbers – and once they are gone they are gone forever. We stand behind every bottle that we put into the market as being of the highest quality cachaça to be found throughout the world.
